The Toyota Camry is a mid-size car assembled by Toyota in Georgetown, Kentucky, USA, as well as Altona, Victoria, Australia, and in Japan. The Camry has been the best selling car in the United States for eight of the last nine years starting in 1997.
Toyota Camry is one of the most reliable models on the road. It's fairly easy to maintain and Toyota parts and service are not very expensive. Toyota Camry has front-wheel drive with transverse-mount engine.
The 2007 Toyota Camry is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 10 trims, ranging from the CE 5-Spd MT to the XLE V6. Upon introduction, the CE 5-Spd MT is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 158-horsepower engine that achieves 24-mpg in the city and 34-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The XLE V6 is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 268-horsepower engine that achieves 22-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2007 Toyota Camry is redesigned for 2007.
Models from 1992 to 2002 had the 2.2-liter, DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine that might seem slightly underpowered but was vary reliable. Starting from 2002 Camry received new 4-cylinder 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve engine with Variable Valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) delivering 157 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. The cylinder block and the head are made from aluminium alloy to reduce weight. Timing belt was replaced by a chain to reduce maintenance costs (no need to replace a timing belt). This engine offers good low-end torque, reasonable power and good fuel economy.

The sixth generation Camry is a significantly redesigned model and is assembled at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky
The new Camry has the same 2.4 L VVT-i I4 as the previous genreation making 158 hp (118 kW) with 4 trim levels: CE, LE, SE, and XLE. It will also have an optional 3.5 L VVT-i V6 making 268 hp (200 kW) with three trims: LE, SE, and XLE. The V6 will be available with a 6-speed sequential transmission
A keyless entry/remote starter is optional on the V6-powered XLE. The CE and LE have hubcap designs similar to the previous generation models.
